Welcome

The Noise is a volunteer
led community impact organisation that exists to
‘Show God’s Love in Practical Ways’.

For over 20 years, we have been mobilising over 700 volunteers from around 50 different churches and groups across Bristol to run either community events to bring people together, or individual impact projects to help those most in need.

Looking ahead

Traditionally taking place every May bank holiday weekend, we have volunteer ages ranging from 4 years to 83 years, and going to communities and neighbourhoods across the whole of Bristol - it really is for everyone!

Moving forward, we will be just as active as we will be looking to take the principles of Noise weekends, and help individuals, churches and organisations to be able to run with projects, events or even longer term initiatives, every day of the year.

Projects

In 2024, we had teams of volunteers hosting 17 different community events for neighbours to come and enjoy, including afternoon teas, pop-up cafés, community fun events, BBQs, and a family photos session!

Volunteers also tackled 49 different practical community projects in garden clearances, in public space clean ups, including adventure playgrounds, community centres or schools. All these were referred by people working in local neighbourhoods.

Do you have a practical project to refer, that could help someone in need?

Check out photos from the last weekend we put on here and watch our weekend review video to give you an idea of what we can get up to.

All these events and projects were free and will continue to be free!

Coming up for The Noise…

As we move to an all year round model of the Noise, we have three key priorities to inspire and equip individuals, churches and organisations in ways they can connect with, and effectively serve their local communities: resourcing, networking and training.
